I would think the complete subjugation of the Indians is similar. After all, the Indians have been mistreated since the beginning of the country- when they were tricked out of their land, by a civilization that had alien concepts of ownership. There aren't enough of them to be really threatening anymore, since our subjugation of them has been so complete- but at one time they could have posed a threat, had an outside power decided to come in and "rescue" them from the tyranny of the American government.
