klumar, From what I have heard about Comcast, you had to do that to protect yourself. The interruptions are so seldom, and short in length, it's not worth the effort for me to do that. All of the outages are because of lose of electric power, so I can't blame the cable company, and since Tampa Electric has a monopoly, they would just laugh in your face if you requested a refund. When the TV cable was cut, they repaired it quickly, for free, and offered a refund without my asking for it. Naturally, I took it.
