Yeah, it might be smart to consider:

-- we sent this person to war, did it have any impact on him/her?

-- could that have anything to do with why they become a serious drug taker, and then maybe a criminal to support that habit?

-- who is really at fault here--the person who got sent to war or the society and its leaders who sent them?

Presumably such a simple enquiry would lead to a conclusion about who ought to be involved in helping the person return to whatever modest life they had before the "war experience" destroyed it.

Despite all the rhetoric about "Support our Troops", the ACTUAL treatment seems to be cheer them on while they are out there killing and hide them somewhere after they get back.And pay as little as possible, before, during and after the combat experience.

What a scam! Put a person's life at risk. Equip them to kill others and then nickel and dime them every inch of the way after they sign on. And fill them up will military PRIDE instead. PT Barnum in this lifetime would be in charge of Military Recruiting!
