Stay put......

Build community where I am located. A support system is extremely hard to put into place overnight.

I believe its about wits and ingenuity.

Of course for me living on the edge of nowhere makes the choices easy. I am behind a locked gate and a mile long driveway. Not a thing behind me but nature.

So naturally, I am staying put.

If I were in the city. I would leave. And that is what I am telling my sons who both live in Denver. I am preparing for them to be with me as well as their families.

I'm not a doomer either. Believe it or not. But I can read the writing on the the subway walls and tenement halls.

Sorry couldn't resist a little Simon and Garfunkel reference there.

Bill

btw: thanks for the homesteading link again. i will check that one out. love sustainability sites. peak oil or not.

Hence my dilemma .. stay put or bail ????
What conclusions have you all come to ????

We bailed to the country 20 years ago.

Thanks for the homesteading link; one more source filed away in an overcrowded virtual filing cabinet. Sigh.
