Are you insane? You say less cost to the government is bad for the budget deficit? What kind of logic is that?

"the first-year cost to the government for each beneficiary who signs up will be about 14 percent less than initially estimated:"

Democrats` Cultural Divide

By Mindy Finn
GOP.com Blog

Democrats have been trying to focus their message and make inroads with voters, but public opinion still favors our Party, the GOP, by wide margins. According to a new Democracy Corps study cited by Dan Balz in the Washington Post
"cultural issues trump economic issues by a wide margin
for many of these voters - giving the GOP a significant
electoral advantage." As hard as Democrats may try, these
voters still see them "as weak on national security, and
on cultural and moral issues, they view Democrats as both
inconsistent and hostile to traditional values."

This is no biased view - the Democracy Corps focus group was conducted by Democrats Karl Agne and Stan Greenberg who can't run away from the truth.

Their advice in response to the study: "Democrats need a reform-oriented, anti-Washington agenda to overcome the culture gap. At this point, Democrats are in no position to capitalize if there is a clear backlash against Republicans."

Man dies after 49 hours of computer games

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

SEOUL, South Korea -- A 28-year-old South Korean man died of exhaustion in an Internet cafe after playing computer games non-stop for 49 hours, South Korean police said Wednesday.

Lee, a resident in the southern city of Taegu who was identified only by his last name, collapsed Friday after having eaten minimally and not sleeping, refusing to leave his keyboard while he played the battle simulation game Starcraft.

Lee was quickly moved to a hospital but died after a few hours, due to what doctors are presuming was a heart attack, police said.

Lee had been fired from his job last month because he kept missing work to play computer games, police said.

Computer games are enormously popular in South Korea, home to professional gamers who earn big money through sponsorships and television stations devoted to broadcasting matches.
