I think "dittohead" is a form of "group thinker" but there are distinctions among group thinkers, and "dittohead" is lower on the totem pole than some others.

The man is an entertainer, for goodness' sake. He's not a philosopher or even a particularly deep thinker.

If he was the guy next door, no matter how smart he was, you'd never adulate him. It's celebrity mania.
