I did not say Israel should take the strip of land from Lebanon. A narrow band of say 6 miles along the Lebanese border would do.

My suggestion about Golan is in Israel's best interest. It cannot keep it forever and it is better to give it to Palestinians than to Syrians. Then let Syria try to get it back from Pals...it will not be easy or popular.

If you look at the map, you'll see my logic. This is also the only way that a viable Palestinian state can exist. And so long as a viable state does not exist, no matter how many accords are signed, there will be no peace.

[edit...and at least for a few decades, Israel may assume control of border security of this Palestinian state, to give itself better security].
