I think that any sell off on a particular day of the week is coincidence or imagination (likely the former). The markets are increasingly volatile, and one's best bet for profits is probably to play sector rotation, or to carefully select individual stocks. Broad market participation in rallies fell off after 7/12, so the risks are higher now.
