re: Don't worry ted, I've been following it. I just wanted to make sure it was bipartisan.

Of course it's bipartisan. Both parties are crooks, living on the meager droppings of special interest groups, gerrymandering themselves into lifetime positions, without any accountability to the citizens. Congress is, at this point, a scam. There is no "democracy" left in the system... they have gamed the redistricting part and they have gamed the special interest contribution part.

The "Energy Bill" is the worst... it does nothing except raise your tax liability to give tax breaks to energy companies that are making record profits... HISTORICALLY record profits. It does virtually nothing about the REAL energy problem, which is easy to solve, but the solution would cost the energy companies a ton of profit dollars.

We have a government of, by and for the corporations. Not of, by and for the people. Dem or Rep, it doesn't matter, they have mostly all sold out. There is ZERO democratic idealism left in the national government.

Thank God I'm not 30ish years old. I would hate to face the future with the "leaders" we have these days, the total lack of responsibility to the citizens they supposedly represent, the disrespect for democracy, the indulgent self-interest.

I grew up in a different country... a much better country. To the younger people... you don't know what you missed.

John

Of course, it was bipartisan. They both stink when it comes to pork. However, that bridge is particulary annoying.
