I was being playful. According to the quote, the exalted one will then be humbled. so you get humble--BUT THEN you get exalted! AND you get exalted--BUT THEN then you MUST get humbled...and so on. I liked your paragraph better...:-) I mean why should humility result in "Exaggerated; inflated:" And if you get that why do you end up humble again? I could truly accept that bit if they were considered one and the same. But if "exalted" is being supposed as "better"...then why does it lead to "humble"--or worse?? Always more questions than answers... In terms of your analogy that the "humble would find a "reward" of exaltation and thus become humbled: It doesn't always happen that way... In the real world, the strong and the smart usually prevail. We only need to look around. If there is a spiritual realm, this common knowledge might be challengeable. Is there a spiritual realm?

"I read Atlas Shrugged 15 times so far You are ahead of me! But did you read the book by two college kids in philosophy that tried to say she was NOT a philosopher! I DID! And I fumed at their childish ignorance. What other book is so honest as "Atlas Shrugged"? We are all such wonderful people but when a death occurs anywhere, anyplace, anytime...we all say to ourselves in the shower--better him/her than me. And if we were not that WAY we would have been extinct afore now.
