"Grizzly Man"

I am married to an insanely avid hiker.

We have been considering a camping and hiking trip to Glacier National Park next month. It is only a few hours drive from here and the last time we visited was spring 2000 and much of the park was closed to snow.

A few days ago, I read that 33% of the Grizzly population in America live in Glacier Park. We saw one the last time and we had a Grizzly confrontation in Yellowstone some years ago.

I told my bride that she will have to learn to carry and shoot a 44 if we are to go on this trip.
So far no response.

Everyone who knew anything about bears knew this end would come to him. I remember reading an Outdoor Life article many years ago talking about how this guy was a danger to himself and anyone else that believed you could become cuddly with Grizzlies. He used to like filming himself creeping close enough to touch them.

I hate to say it but he was a fool that not only got himself killed but his girlfriend as well.
