I heard that Eileen Collins commented on some things she saw. Quite a gal, not only does she skipper a spaceship, she's also an expert on climatology. She must be like Wonder Woman or something!

I was always under the impression that the pilots of the space shuttle were just that - pilots.

Her comment also was that the atmosphere was eggshell thing. Well golly shucks. That has always been the case. Compared to the diameter of the earth, the atmosphere really is quite a thin layer.

Nothing new there.
