I don't want people I don't know in my personal space. Maybe your sense of personal space extends farther than mine, but then you said you grew up partly in Germany etc. I am not introverted I am extroverted (according to tests and experience) but shy. Which is a conundrum :) Posting online allows some interaction with people when I am working on the computer on other things or trading. It makes those activities much more pleasant.

That's a good observation. I like to "talk" and "discuss" things with like-minded people online but prefer to be alone in my physical space. Best of both worlds.
