History does not lie. Those are historical facts. Is part of conservatism denying history? Iran, Guatemala, and Chile all had budding democracies in place until the U.S. CIA sponsered coups that replaced them with dictatorships and years of repression and killing. You can't hide from the facts. Sure, we've helped free millions from Communism in Europe, but we've also enslaved millions under tryrannical dictators in other parts of the world when it suited us to do so. What exactly is nonsense about this, anyone can verify these facts if they care to do so.
