Getting rid of the word doesn't get rid of the differences.

Well, I don't think that the point is that there are not differences, but that this particular approach to the differences is silly.

The desire to systematize differences into a coherent system of analysis is normal, but sometimes the results are pretty silly.

You wouldn't have any problem agreeing that systematizing people by their birthdays is silly, and that systematizing people by their blood groups is silly.

Someday when everybody has had their DNA tested, no doubt there will be attempts to systematize people by their DNA, as well.
