Thats what this thread is supposed to be all about...shorting the homebuilders, suppliers, mortgage companies and insurers and commodities pertaining to housing. Indirect? Yes. But a valid way.

And fortunes have been made betting against the RE market the past few years? Even those who bailed out of their homes in bubble markets are already 30-40% behind. The top is finally here though and most who bet against it will break even after the collapse<g>

We can short the homebuilders no - Phil Grandie put up a 10 year chart of KBH versus the sp500 - what goes up must come down eh and revert to mean? - I just read this on morningstar about cramer telling the housing insiders to dump and telling the sheeple to hold: socialize.morningstar.com 9. Said last tuesday jumpnjoey\| 08-10-05 \| 06:22 PM even put out a special alert not to sell homebuilders just because the insiders were. Opps. On the special alert he said "I advise insiders to sell" then he puts out a special alert for the sheep to hold.
