Capitalize by buying a bunch of Jan 06 Puts or pay more and go out to 07 on the likes of FNM,CFC,LEND and TOL?

It doesn't pay to get greedy, or time the markets wrong, and I think things will move slow, and certainly elephant is going to fight it all he can and make sure he spreads it out in every tricky way imaginable - so maybe a layered strategy of buying puts from 06 on out - as your jan 06 dont pay off - trade out for jan 07 - you are certain to be right in time no - hehe - invest in a way where your macro trend is realized without having to find the exact time the titanic goes under. From 2001 to 2003 was a slow leak no? Krugman said he heard a small hissing sound in housing - not a bang of a pop right?

Do you really think that one who went bankrupt several times could possibly be the greatest trader that ever lived?

I dont.
Once perhaps but not multiple times.
