re: when the Honda Insight first hit the market, discussion groups on the Internet formed for owners of these vehicles. Members on these groups shared ideas and sort of competed on who can drive most efficiently. It's become somewhat of a hobby and a sport for them.

Yeah, I think Americans could get focused on efficiency and conservation, but i think it would take leadership. And you know what I think of the current "leadership".
