That's just BS, and you know it.

Bush wants to have Iraq fully self sufficient before pulling out. And he thinks there's an opportunity for strategically promoting democracy throughout the region.

Personally, I don't care about the savages and would like our troops home now. But I can see why Bush wants them to finish the job.
