I believe that. Very easy to get drugs - especially along the I-80 corridor. 2 hour drive to NYC.

Many areas of central PA, especially up in the coal country around Shamokin, Mt. Carmel, "Shendoh" Shenendoah, etc. could be picked up, plopped down in Appallachia West Virginia, and no one would notice the difference. It can be smothering and desperate for a young person.
