I would like to be able to back up actual programs -- I use several lifesaving programs in my law office and don't want to reconfigure them or reenter the data. I do have a 60 gig external drive but the USB ports quit working on this laptop.

It is networked to the other computers including my new laptop that is too small for every day use but perfect to carry everywhere. And I have a 120 gig external drive.

Probably what I need is software that will let me "mirror" this hard drive? How do you back up actual programs? (Amicus Attorney and PCLaw.)

Or do I need to hire an expensive geek?
