The Mail quoted researcher Michael Hunter as saying, "The female voice is actually more complex than the male voice, due to differences in the size and shape of the vocal cords and larynx between men and women, and also due to women having greater natural 'melody' in their voices.

The female voice is more complex because it never rests naturally - yak yak yak yakkity yak - changes her mind or takes a new subject and more yakkity yak yak endlessly.

Men do talk in their sleep though; it's the only time they get a chance to get an uninterrupted word in. <GGG>

Glad to see you again, Josh! Pretty funny about the women's voices...I've just thought women generally talked more quietly, because it is unflattering not to do so. However, when one is upset with naughty children, or a hubby who isn't "listening", all bets are off! <ggg>

I sure hope I never sound like Hillary though! Especially when she is screeching!
