"in that generation when you shall see the armies of Rome surrounding Jerusalem"

Your explanation of that verse which is not accurate according to my bible is a stretch.

Of course Jesus did no return in 70 AD. But we have been over that before too. For one, the great commission had not been carried out in 70 AD. Spreading the gospel to the whole world, every tribe and tongue and people. But we have discussed that before too.

The most obvious flaws, besides what I have already mentioned, is that if Jesus had returned in 70 AD then the 1,000 year reign would be over, satan would have been released again for a short time to deceive the nations again and been subdued again, the great White Throne judgement would have already happened, the earth would have passed away and been replaced by a new heaven and new earth, and so on. None of that has happened and preterists can't explain what age we are in now if they are right.

There is only one truth!
