we have huge natural gas fields of Carolina and it is closed. it was in the bill to open it up and offer big time bucks to the states in order to get them to go along.

this got taken out of the bill while middle class and poor will starve with high heating bills for the comings winters.

These people have no understanding of why their bills are so high. they think big oil vs looking at their local congressmen and environmental lobby.

It would take less time to drill and open up these fields than drill in Alaska. Perhaps we could find large deposits of gas off atlantic coast and gulf coast around florida and get it into production in a few years.

I think the energy bill stinks. We are giving away tons of bucks to oil industry at a time of WINDFALL profits. Oil industry doesn't need tax incentives to drill.

oil industry was pushed into vz because of environmental controls and also latest clinton adm .. if something breaks in order to repair it you had to fix the whole facility. if you wanted to upgrade a process you had to bring all processes up to current standards via epa. this made any maintenance/improvements of refineries unprofitable.

so they built refineries in vz , drilled for oil refined processes there and then shipped to states for more refining.

now you got a nut down there taking over the whole operation.

oil is now $66 barrel how much longer or how many more winters do we need to see our heating costs double , and double while we have gas sitting off our coast line? These congressmen should be voted out. imo we may be able to get these fields into production to help while we build storage/distribution facilities to import gas.
