I dont see how you can fault Bush on the war on terror, its been a long time, going on the 4th anniversary since 9/11. You dont think he had something to do with that? Who pushed the Patriot Act over many of the leftist leaning Democrats?
As to winning in Iraq, you're looking for a one sentence answer to a complex problem. Lets just say when Iraq is a peaceful neighbor with some form of Democracy and terrorism within its boundaries stamped out and its people improving their lot in life, thats winning. jdn

How about: 'when Sunni fundamentalist extremists are occupied with attacking Shiite fundamentalist extremists --- and we no longer have a big fat target painted on our backs?

Wouldn't that be a 'win' for us?

(Especially if the Saudi and Iranian participation in the Iraqi civil war accomplished little for them, but brought their leaderships to public disdain, and hastened the fall of their Autocrats... wouldn't that be beneficial to 'Western' and Democratic interests?)
