And if there has been no significant change in troop levels in Iraq by then, the GOP can kiss it's majority, in the Senate at least, goodbye. i think their majority is probably safe, but no question they will have an uphill battle... i think i read somewhere this morning that a majority (or near majority) believes we are currently in a recession, despite the fact that that is demonstrably false pain at the pump and other utilities make people FEEL like there is a recession not good for the majority party
