The names you mention are certainly both jews and neocons. And aipac is a pro-israel lobby and no surprise is run by Jews. There are many more anti-bush, anti-necon jews very liberal jews today. That was my point. I didnt accuse, just found your categories interesting as did Sun in his post.
In the 20s, 30s Jews and communists and jews and bankers were linked the same way although most jews werent either bankers or communists. Thats why Jews are always sensitive to this lumping that takes place because jews are usually politically active and outspoken. mike

I think the point is that neocons like Perle, Faith, Wolfowitz who strongly pushed for the war are Jews. However, Cheney and others like him pushed just as strongly for the war and they were not Jews. Cheney, I believe, is a signatory to PNAC.

At the same time, there are many Jews who ardently argued against the war. Noam Chomsky would be one of the prominent ones and there were plenty others.

I don't think it is either wise or accurate to push the idea of Neocon = Jew = Israel, despite the obvious overlaps.

"It seems to me simply not possible to deny that a major impulse towards the war in Iraq has come from Jews, as neocon ideologues (Wolfowitz, Perle, etc), as supporters in the press (Krauthammer, Krystol, etc), as political organizations very likely with spy-links to Israel, (AIPAC), and as bureaucrats with links to the most radical elements in Israel, the settler movement, e.g., Feith and Abrams."

This is probably simple paranoia on my part, and it may be just that some Jewish Americans, having attained high positions in the government and the pentagon have a decidedly pro-Israel slant to their thinking, but you have to wonder sometimes if the government has been penetrated by the Mossad. Our actions seem often to benefit Israel at the expense of the United States. Even if these individuals are not explicit Israeli agents, they seem to be aligned more with the interests of Israel than our own, and are no doubt very useful to Israeli intelligence operations in influencing American policy.

I'm well aware that many American and Israeli Jews don't agree with our policies and actions, or Israel's.
