You really see no conflict in a person investigating events she played an important part in? I really can't accept that.

I don't care if the report was the essence of Truth, she should not have been on the council.

No to both questions. All the present hoopla about the conflict of interest is the usual stuff from columnists like Deborah Oren, a long time right wing columnists.

So if Deborah Oren says the sun rises in the East, you can dismiss it as right-wing agitprop? You don't have to acknowledge any fact if you can badmouth the source?

Gorelick's conflict of interest was always plain and has now become doubly obvious. Straight-shooting commissions don't need to lie about "not having heard" evidence that casts doubt on their published conclusions, especially when that brushed-under-the-rug evidence touches on the committe chair's own past actions.
