stop that! stop the temptation ...

the temptation to cash out of investments in Bay Area and in HK is great, to de-camp for Koh Samui samuivillasandhomes.com , and live like the emperor of the Galaxy, twice daily massage and breakfast in bed, and all day internet gaming

... and leave all the BS behind for others to clean up

stop that line of thought!

Khalid - If you had condos on a golf course or a lake, and an arrangement to rent them out, you could sell them.

There's a lot of that in Miami, selling to South Americans who want

1) A place to go if their government goes bad.

2) Some USD income that located out of their country so it's hard to take - harder than something in a bank account which can be siezed elctronically.

3) A place to go when they go to Miami to shop, party, get medical care, etc.

"ship this overseas and have some profit left over after the freight charges" Not competitive. I did the math:

2,624.82 Sq Ft at medium price of US$100/sq ft: US$263K

Exact the same size in Curitiba, Brazil brand new: 146m2 or (2,624.82 Square Feet) costs US$140K.

I made sure the costs reflect a US-type property. Is a house not an apt. and it is like a propery for sale in the US:
With kitchen installed. Landscape done. Lighting installed.

Texas is quite a big state. Which city is that?

Curitiba looks like that: escapeartist.com
