Very good article on Chindia...
I was sold the concept that the US would be in the knowledge industries in the 21st Century - and bought it.
Problem is, manufacturing goes to China, and lots of other work like software to India.
What does the US do then - besides real estate, medical care, retail services, etc??

Also - the benefits of free trade with these countries is distributed widely throughout the economy, but the costs are focused on the narrow industries like IT where they are dominating. That doesn't seem fair to me.

Also not fair that the US government encouraged people in college here in the 1980s to go into science and engineering, as did US corporations - who now downsize and layoff these same people because they don't care - and don't need them now.
