They are particularly pretty examples. I went through most of the stock tickers that came into my head and there are similar formations on cmaller or larger scales (head and shoulders with the correct volume pattern) on the majority of them. Some like DCX just have the left hand side formed (and so maybe aren't topping really) and others have already been trashed (FNM, some other financials, CHN). Very few are just zooming up still (e.g. TDF). In some that are they look like ending diagonals, or B waves or whatever.

Barrons is definitely on the short side this week apart from on oil stocks of course. They say that people still buying stocks last week are like children that refuse to go to bed when their parents tell them :)

So to answer your question: Why not? But I don't have much more money to do so, and shorting any index all of which have the same pattern is a safer bet.
