re BMW - i still own my position. Up now 50% in Euro terms and even more in US$. Revenues were great but earnings weaker than expected due to higher costs and lower US$. It's well managed and should do well LT, unlike most other car company which don't earn their cost of capital. I own some BMW, Takeda and Nestle in my international blue chip portfolio and all of them are doing well. Unlike my IRA, i don't trade this very much and hold my positions for several years. This approach has worked OK as well for quite some time as well.
