You make a good point about time. OTOH, there's a big expenditure of time consumed while resisting overtures for thoughtful responses and fighting off the interrogator, all of which is ultimately unproductive. So much more sensible to either take a pass or have a thoughtful exchange and get it over with. And just for the record, the folks here on this particular board are more conservative than liberal in thought, so I don't find the comments apply here, by in large. I have economic conservatism in common with this thread and federalism and libertarianism in common with some. Where I diverge from the mainstream is that I am not partisan, religious, or a hawk. There are things posted here that resonate with me and others that are utterly alien, including most of the social conservative agenda. It would be a nice change of pace to be able to explore differences with more thought and less heat.
