You could change the scale in your printer properties. Of course that would change the default for everything you print, not just stuff off the internet you access via Firefox. Exactly. Since everything else prints just fine, that would be a mess. Still hoping to hang on to Firefox. Firefox's other problem, I haven't mentioned it, is that it has little conflicts with a content management system called Mambo which is the backend of our borough website. I cannot, no matter just how I hold my mouth, twist my tongue, beat on the desktop, get it to let me take a chunk of text from Word and copy and paste it into a page. I must do all that work in IE. Which, in turn, doesn't present the finished work as nicely as FireFox. There is a fix but it's among the more arcane bits and pieces of coding I've ever run across. Would take my sysadmin to fix it. Well you didn't and shouldn't want to hear about that. Just grinding my teeth out loud.
