WolfowitzTheIdiot said that the war would take 1.5 weeks and cost $1.7 billion. Reconstruction would cost zip because it would come out of the Iraqi oil revenues. Even back then, experts knew that Wolfowitz was smoking his own hair gel. It was already well known what Iraq was producing and how sanctions and war had antiquated production. Even back then his pronouncements were absurd. I've always thought that rightwingers were greedy and cold but I never realized that they were this incompetent. I figure that if they were even remotely competent, they wouldn't have to lie so much.
