The most annoying ones tend to fit into this category.

I imagine that is generally so although people use available tools for different purposes. I've had people on ignore for reasons other than finding them annoying. And I tend to peoplemark people who change handles often so I can tell who's now who. There's nothing particularly negative about my ignores or positive about my peoplemarks, although the way those tools are offered implies that.

My perfect world would have everyone who react viscerally to my posts put me on ignore leaving only the ones who want to engage thoughtfully. Posters who groove on food fights, however, and there are many of them, might do just the opposite.

never looked at those numbers before. i show 35 peoplemarks.. impossible i only marked one or two in the ten years here. checking i had three and didn't even recognize the name.

perhaps that is a field with some software problem.
