Well, it probably depends on the person you are talking to.

It's actually a lot more complicated than that.

There's been a long, long history of prejudice against immigrants who were not white Western Europeans nor Protestant, starting with Catholics from Ireland, Italy and Eastern Europe in the 19th century.

Look at the poor Chinese. They were brought over to work on the railroads, but were not allowed to bring women with them so they could not marry.

Japanese were not allowed to buy land until well into the 20th century.

These days "terrorism" is just an excuse for wanting to keep out brown-skinned people from the Middle East, Northern Africa and the Asian sub-continent.

Chinese, Vietnamese and so forth seem to be OK, as well as Latinos from anywhere in Central and South America, although this, too, is more complicated.
