John...I looked up the bio for these two gentlemen, and was disappointed on what little info I found.

Karen, I hardly put those pieces up because you would like them or the authors.

Clemons is the key; he recommended the Berman piece which I found interesting and since it corresponds to what little I know about the players and their positions, I thought it was a piece that anyone seriously interested in the wide range of thought on American foreign policy should read.

If it doesn't help, it doesn't help.

Clemons is a different matter. He's part of the national security, for want of a better word, establishment of Democratic party foreign policy folk. But something of a critic at the same time. Was the most instrumental blogger in the defeat of the Bolton nomination for the UN seat.

Clemons' views strike me as fairly close to those of Tekboy. Tek is further in the establishment, at least at the moment, than Clemons, however. But Clemons writes public commentary in a blog form. Tek has not done so since Ken left FADG.

If you're not interested in the ways centrist Dems address issues in the party, fine. Just skip them.
