Well, IMHO if we should sustain one or more really serious attacks of biological, chemical or nuclear origin resulting in 10's to 100's of thousands of casualties we will suffer the loss of many of our so-called liberties for the safety of the nation. But then, people probably wont think it so terrible. I remember during the martial law and curfew I was GLAD to have the national guard on every corner, I was a little ticked off over the 8:00pm curfew as really limited after work activities but crime stopped in its tracks for that week or two. jdn
