If you want the score to be ran up a bit, I'll report in.

95 chevy 1/2 ton with a 4.3 and over 252,000 miles...still running strong. A couple of others with high miles for their age, a 2002 gmc that already has nearly 200k and a 99 f-350 ford with around 190k.

Plenty of solid drive trains in u.s. made trucks.

We always keep our vehicles a LONG time. Usually 10 or 11 years. We buy them brand new so no one else has sullied them. Then I use nearly all synthetics, motor oil, grease, transmission fluid, differential and transfer case fluids. I change them by the book, except I go 6,000 miles with synthetics instead of 3,000 miles on the oil change. I wash them every week whether they need it or not and wax them 4 times a year. Our vehicles always look brand new and we never have any significant problems. jdn
