Now. Now. I heard you perfectly well the first time, no need to repeat yourself. ;-)

Many of us at SI have several hundred hidden gems amongst the dross--I know you do. It would be nice if every person could be given access to a data base of their own posts and then cull out (or in) anything that they felt was educational, informative, witty, or otherwise worthy of posterity. Sort of like the family VCR tapes that we all look back on! Needless to say--victories of sarcasm or oneupmanship would hardly be worthy. But you know what I mean: fresh insights, well-turned phrases, information organized in a coherent and useful manner, quotes, and great links.

Many of us would (perhaps) be willing to purchase such CD's (perhaps from a number of people). I would not spend a nickel to purchase the wit and wisdom of (say) Dawn Horse. But you, E., Poet--and many others who have been both friends and enemies...I would pay for these self-organized "tapes".

This would also encourage the dullards to make an effort to do more than live out their fantasy of miserable little tyrants! They could strive for something useful and lasting (at least for a decade or so...)!
