No I'm not trying to get my approach taught. As I said I want to make money first. And at this stage we are just trying to improve it. Anyway that's the job of those guys in the business school. But my investing experience comes into all my classes... in Intro Econ, and Managerial Econ, and even Environmental Econ, when I talk about risk there, or trading sulfur permits...

I really don't know why there is such a worship of the extreme version of the efficient market model by some finance guys. I guess those guys won the Nobel Prize.

But again most of the market just sits there and lets the shocks hit them. Most of these hedge funds aren't doing macro long-short and looking at technical analysis like Soros used to do. Most of this program trading is just very ultra short term intraday. So you have to understand where the niches etc etc....

Most people here on SI who talk about charts just don't seem to have a clue. There are very few good chartists/technical analysts here I think. Especially over the longer haul.
