tom, We are talking about different times in the life of Pancho Villa. Before the revolution, all he did was raid into the U.S. to rob, and steal cattle.

When the revolution began, he and Zapata became generals in the rebel army. Not very many Americans joined up with him, except for some that wanted the money he offered for their technical experience, such as building bombs, and rapid fire weapons.

Both Villa, and Zapata, deserve some respect for their commands in the revolution, because the current regime in Mexico had to go.

Why would anyone believe anything that John Reed would write? He was nothing more but an expatriot American that embraced communism. I hope he is rotting in hell right now.
