You didn't notice that bin Laden and Saddam were enemies before 1999? They didn't offer bin Laden haven until after the US stepped up a bombing campaign in 1999. At that time Saddam figured he need a more friendly relationship with his former nemisis. But it was a relationship that was started out of necessity not convenience.

What new bonds have now been forged with the invasion of Iraq? The CIA has said that terror is on the increase.

The bombing and the invasion will not bring democracy to Iraq. We've already proven that...some of us knew it was the wrong approach to begin with. As you can see this comedy of errors goes back decades in the middle east, and is not entirely the fault of Bush.

That said, Bush has made the problem deeper with his collosal screw ups.

We've stepped into a size 11 bucket of shit with a size 12 boot. Not a good place to be.
