You will with Iran. Iran is no two bit, fangless dictatorship and we can't afford to redeploy our troops from Iraq right now. And if we attack Iran, do you really think the Iranians will come to our side? I doubt it. More likely.......another insurgency will develop.

Reread my post. I never said we should go in with a ground force. I specifically stated an air war would be most appropriate...and there is no country in the world that can withstand our airforce and navy fighter jets, not to mention our stealth bombers. Air supremacy over Iran would be established within 48 hours and surgical strikes would knockout all identified targets with a week.

I have no doubt that Iran would unleash their 40,000 strong force of suicide bombers, but then again, they have already done that by supporting, funding, and harboring terrorists.

Nothing about a war with Iran would make me happy, but I would take solace in one thing: we could limit it to an air war and perhaps avoid much of the American fatalities we've seen in Iraq. The resulting Iranian fatalities would be unfortunate, but would be worth the price of ensuring the Iranian theocracy and radical new President don't get their hands on nukes.
