Don't look for inconsistency in my words.....

that's not your place.

Don't de-Christianize poker.....every church in western PA has "Casino Night" and of course Bingo for money....people gamble when they buy bait for fishing......does the worm return a fish...or does the fish get fed?

Phil Gordon, who has won more than $1.3 million on the World Poker Tour and co-hosts Celebrity Poker Showdown on Bravo, is a world-class poker player and teacher, as well as a respected and successful author. His first book, Poker, The Real Deal, sold nearly 100,000 copies in four months and was widely praised in poker circles. His second book will be released in October. Gordon is a major fundraiser for the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation, where he serves on the Board of Directors.

"Phil has shown his willingness to go the extra mile to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation through both his actions at and away from the poker table."<I/>

I’ve been watching a lot of poker on TV lately (remember it is the dead of summer here in Las Vegas) and every show has one or two or more dot com multi-millionaires. Often these guys are retired thirty somethings with way too much time and money, people that discovered poker after they became the idle rich. I am not talking about professional players like Barry Greenstein, a retired millionaire software developer, whom has played poker for decades and donates all his winnings to children’s charities. I watch Barry and most of his play is textbook perfect"

Jane doesn't get chided....she gets tickled....'cause we are friends who have played together for 6 years on SI.....we've shared extreme distress and great times.....You could never be expected to grasp the true meaning of any of my conversation with her.....and you should not try.....you will be in error.

Finally....the greatest thing a true Christian can do for another...is to respect their points of view. Being "dragged to church" every time one speaks is a sure way to have them run the other way.
