In the NYT today, the budget deficit is projected now to be in the mid 300s down about 150mm from the original estimate due to increase in tax revenue. 350mm deficit is no panacea and spending at this time needs to be checked although timing is difficult again as the fed raises rates relentlessly and oil goes up relentlessly as well. Krugman is always wrong. He is a partisan political hack, and no economist. More than any other op ed writer the NYTimes should fire him because he is an idiot even when it comes to his own specialty, economics. Now wonder John M loves the guy.
