Just like Houston.

Hot. Humid.

But it's still a nice place to live and the hill country around it is even nicer. Kerrville is a really nice place to retire.

It's like Houston, but less humid. It snows there once every seven years or so, but mostly just rains in the winter. I grew up in Austin. I read once that if you use the heat index (heat/humidity), it's one of the "hottest" places in the country.
