Washington had a choice to make, ignore the ban on funding specific road projects, or to ignore the ban in effect since 1914. Once again the two parties ignored the ban, cut the pie up behind closed doors and ripped us off.

I once again did not hear a single congressman speak up and comment on this. You party dependents don't get it. There is specific legislation that prohibits this: this is my business sector, and it will once again benefit me...but it is wrong.

Reagan tried to veto it years ago when it was much smaller...as he said at the time, "I have not seen so much pork since I handed out ribbons at the county fair", I assume you remember that line. His veto failed. This is party payoff, and both parties rip us off.

(He will RESERVE his veto for spiking stem cell medical research... NOT for slowing Big Spending Pork Barrel Bills, Deficit Spending, or the steady increase in the size and intrusiveness of the Federal Government.)

Nope, that 'smaller government' cry was Reagan's... Bush II has nothing to offer it except lip service.

He has entirely different priorities.
