Protests and Mob Mentality are just people trying to grab more power than they deserve by virtue of their political strength and their participation in the democratic processes. Protests might become necessary when normal channels have been usurped, but that has not been the case since the civil rights battle was won.

Mob Mentality is never justified, but is highly likely any time a protest is mounted.
